Today has been pretty uneventful as far as the mortgage market goes. Even though there were news about European countries PIIGS auctioning off more debts in order to stay afloat with their economy. And the Fed made about $78B last year and gave to the Treasury. Both of those news made a little impact on the 10 yr interest rate.

Even though today’s mortgage rates were pretty much unchanged. Today’s market rate with no points are:

30 years fixed – 4.875%  //  APR – 4.912%

15 years fixed – 4.25%  //  APR – 4.315%

It is one of those days we wished we could have had in the months of December when the market was so volatile that rates were changing a couple times a day. Here was what it looked like last month:
